This year’s Spring clean-up is June 7th, 2025.Prohibited Items: Tires, batteries, refrigerators, any electronic equipment, chemicals, paint or accelerant cans, oil, no yard waste, burn barrels, construction materials, florescent bulbs. You have to be a resident of the Town of Dunbar to utilize the Dunbar Refuse/Recycling Center located at the Town of Dunbar Highway Garage on USH 8. The Refuse Center is monitored 24/7/365 days with closed circuit cameras. Anyone illegally dumping garbage or recyclables after hours will be issued a citation for illegal dumping, a $396.00 Fine.Plastic bags may not be thrown in with recyclables. The bags MUST be EMPTIED into the bin.Recycling Rules:1.Recycle CLEAN bottles, cans, paper and cardboard2.Keep food and liquid out3.No loose plastic bags and no bagged recyclablesIf in doubt, throw it out.

Saturdays, from 8:00 AM to 11:00AMWednesday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Costs:
The cost of disposing garbage is $1.00 per garbage bag(regular 13 gallon kitchen bag). For any larger sized bags the cost is $3.00. A waste sticker must be purchased and placed visibly around the garbage bag when dropping the waste off to the attendant.Recyclables are Free.
